Storage King thought they needed more hands, what they really needed was a little outside the box thinking.
When werk:out were initially brought in to assist Storage King with large volumes of supplier bills we were royally surprised to find they were being processed manually into a desktop based accounting system.
Just because you’re the King of boxes doesn’t mean you should be keeping invoices in them...
After identifying this we created a strategy to migrate to Cloud-based accounting and introduce accounts automation software to streamline bill processing for all Storage King site operations across Australia & New Zealand.
We catapulted Storage King’s boxes of invoices into the cloud, but we didn’t stop there.
Because werk:out’s journey never ends.
We went on to build a dedicated Service Delivery Team to support this new process and work as part of Storage King’s finance operation for bill processing. The team has expanded to other new functions as they identify them and continue to drive werk:out’s process of analysis, modelling, integration and automation.
The werk:out Service Delivery Team is now an integrated part of the Storage King operation helping to support them on their journey while improving operating efficiency and creating opportunity for scalability as Storage King’s business expands.

We turned Storage King’s stacks of boxes into the following service stack
